“The work of the eyes is done. Go now and do the heart-work on the images imprisoned within you.” - Rainer Maria Rilke
lives, works, and creates in Memphis, TN. In 2019, she fell in love with oil painting and never looked back. She gathers inspiration from her surrounding environments, always asking herself, “I wonder what it would look like to paint that?” Her landscapes are the results of that question - intentionally done quickly to capture the memory of that moment, or the still image in her mind.
Other works are more narrative based, deriving inspiration from Biblical stories and scripture. These works develop slowly, spanning weeks or months at a time. They are their own living, breathing testimony. Every time she sits down to create, the painting will reflect what she is coming to the table with, with each emotion layered upon the last.
